وصف الموقع It is my pleasure to welcome you to Sohar University, the first private university in the Sultanate of Oman. Sohar University opens it arms to all students and researchers who are eager to achieve the best standards of academic excellence. All are invited to visit this unique academic institute that contains modern buildings and sophisticated equipment that has been acquired according to international and highly technical standards. First, I would like to state that we are proud of the academic standards of the university and what it has accomplished in a short span of time. What makes us prouder is that we see and reap the fruits of the joint efforts of our university staff.
This is manifested in the praise and positive comments we receive from governmental and private organisations locally and Internationally. All these organisations commend the high standard of our university graduates and their performance in interviews and employment tests, as they always score higher than their competitors from other institutions. These results come from the effective utilization of a lot of unique human and material resources whose collaborative efforts are aimed at a clear goal determined by a clear academic vision. We exert all possible efforts to provide our students with a unique and healthy academic environment using up-to date educational methods and techniques. In addition, we observe comprehensive implementation of international quality assurance measures. We believe that this is necessary for the creation of a qualified generation that enters the local and international job market equipped with the required tools and skills. Furthermore, we believe that we have a message. This message has to reach the biggest possible number of Omani youth, thus, enabling them to play their role in advancing their country and contributing to development programmes and projects that are needed for a strong and successful country. Here, it is worth mentioning that the town of Sohar is now witnessing dramatic changes and great developments. We have all the assets and resources that enhance our efforts and enable us to achieve our goals. We are determined to achieve these goals and to accomplish our mission. We are determined to make the University a prominent and reputable institution recognized all over the world.
